Big Bang has embarked on a 33-date world tour spanning 19 cities to celebrate two decades since its debut, according to Billboard and concert promoter AEG Presents. The trek titled XX: Cosmos opened with three nights at Goyang Stadium from Aug. 21 to 23 that attracted more than 100,000 fans over the weekend, Yonhap News Agency reported. The Korea Herald noted the concerts marked the first time the trio of G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung performed together under the group name in eight years and eight months while debuting a new anniversary track called BiiiG.
According to The Korea Herald, the set opened with emotional hits including Blue, Loser, If You and Bad Boy before shifting to the playful Bae Bae as the members interacted with the crowd. Taeyang told the audience the last few years spent with fans had passed in the blink of an eye because they had been filled with precious memories. He added a promise to repay support with more music and performances throughout the anniversary year and many more years to come while joking “We’ve finally performed together again after eight years and eight months. At this rate, maybe we’ll still be performing when we’re 88.”
The tour followed the group’s reunion set at Coachella in April 2026 that Billboard said built momentum for the full itinerary after initial plans called for 31 shows. Latin Times reported the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum dates on Sept. 4 and 5 sold out quickly enough to add a second night due to overwhelming demand with the overall routing growing to 33 concerts across North America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. G-Dragon declared “Big Bang is back” during the opening run, reviving a longstanding slogan tied to the group’s major reunions.
BBC News described the Sept. 26 concert at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as featuring a sea of glowing yellow crowns and thousands of voices chanting in Korean during an explosive performance of Fantastic Baby. The outlet reported the show came 14 years after Big Bang’s first major European dates and felt crafted for its dedicated fan community known as VIP rather than broad promotion of new material. In coverage of the London stop the BBC noted the trio reworked classic tracks and relied on pyrotechnics along with its live band to accommodate the reduced lineup.
The group that BBC News referred to as the kings of K-pop before the global rise of BTS and Blackpink first proved Korean pop could succeed outside Asia with those earlier international tours. Publicity around the current run has highlighted how the act helped reshape modern K-pop through its music, fashion influence and stadium-scale performances, according to Pollstar and Variety reports on the anniversary campaign. Industry coverage from The Dong-A Ilbo placed total attendance for the opening Goyang concerts at about 107,000 based on data from the Korean Performing Arts Box Office Information System.
BIGBANG will continue the tour through February 2027 with stops that include Paris, Sydney, multiple nights in Taipei and Hong Kong plus dates in Japan and Southeast Asia, Billboard’s published schedule shows. Additional concerts may still be announced as demand has already prompted expansions since the June reveal of the initial routing. The run arrives after the group’s last full album cycle in 2022 and reflects a return focused on its core audience following years of military service and lineup changes.
