His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum attended the second edition of Dubai Camp 2026 on February 17, 2026, directing all government entities to intensify efforts and accelerate delivery on strategic priorities. The Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai framed the annual forum as an opportunity to align initiatives with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Social Agenda. Sheikh Hamdan stressed that the emirate aims to become the best globally across sectors while matching or surpassing previous benchmarks.
The Media Office of the Government of Dubai reported that Sheikh Hamdan said the goal for the upcoming phase is to be the best globally across all sectors and to match or surpass benchmarks realised over past decades. He called for tangible results within defined timeframes to bolster competitiveness and establish Dubai as a global hub for shaping the future. Sheikh Hamdan noted that an innovative mindset must permeate government entities with each achievement acting as a foundation for further advances in economic and social development.
According to the Media Office, Sheikh Hamdan emphasised that Dubai’s global leadership depends on reviewing priorities, refining policies and driving strategic initiatives that accelerate progress and ensure sustainable growth. He highlighted Dubai Camp as a key platform to review priorities, strengthen collaboration and explore future opportunities. Success is measured by the trust placed in Dubai by its people and the world, Sheikh Hamdan added, a trust preserved through proactive governance, flexible legislation and a business environment that draws talent and innovators.
The Media Office stated that investing in people and their capabilities remains Dubai’s top priority, with Sheikh Hamdan calling on government entities to collaborate on results that enhance residents’ quality of life, enrich visitor experiences, support business stability and contribute to overall happiness. He pointed to the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, which focuses on anticipating challenges and converting them into opportunities. This guidance, Sheikh Hamdan said, underpins the drive to accelerate achievement of the social and economic agendas D33.
Discussions at Dubai Camp 2026, the Media Office reported, featured in-depth sessions across strategic sectors with a focus on enhancing government readiness, flexible and innovative work models, accelerated decision-making and linking policies to measurable outcomes. Participants examined sustainable urban infrastructure, smart transport, clean energy, integrated communities and the role of data and technology in city management. The sessions also covered elevating government services through simplified procedures, digital solutions, artificial intelligence, healthcare innovation, public-private partnerships and preventive medicine.
The Media Office detailed that citizens’ well-being emerged as a strategic priority in the talks, addressed through economic and social empowerment policies, sustainable investment and a technology and innovation ecosystem designed to foster knowledge, attract talent and reinforce Dubai’s status as a global innovation hub. Institutional integration, unified service platforms and agile governance received particular attention during the forum. These conversations built on the emirate’s ongoing efforts to adapt to regional and international developments.
The Dubai Camp 2026 follows the World Governments Summit 2026, held in Dubai from February 3 to 5 under the theme “Shaping Future Governments,” which convened global leaders to identify solutions for future challenges, according to the World Governments Summit organisation. Sheikh Hamdan’s directives at the internal government forum align with broader ambitions outlined in the D33 agenda, which targets positioning Dubai among the top three global cities for living and working. The event gathered senior officials to translate high-level priorities into operational plans.
Those in attendance, the Media Office reported, included His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee, Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and His Highness Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Media Incorporated. His Excellency Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, and His Excellency Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, also participated alongside directors general and other senior government officials.
